Outdoor Living Photography

Pool Construction

More and more, outdoor living spaces, high-end landscaping and spa and pool construction are becoming more important to Utahns. And FORM Pools and Spas is positioned as a leader in this area of construction, and they take pride in their work. I was called in to help show off their incredible work, and I could not be happier.

They approach each job with a top-to-bottom methodology. The not only put in top-on-the-line pools and spas, but they landscape, add lighting, work on paths and do so much more to make the outdoor spaces not just usable, but a place you really want to spend time. Their work, in a word, is breathtaking. And that is what I am here to show off.

Pool Construction

Our goal here is multi-use images. The primary thing we need to do is create striking images. Each of these will be on social media, so we need to create interest. With these incredible homes, that made my job easy.

To really show off the pool construction, we decided to shoot everything in the evening. That is harder, but it yields incredible images. Striking images. The images this client needs. And with winter approaching, we had to work fast… many consecutive evening shoots in a row. But we got what was needed.

University of Utah Hospital Displays

University of Utah Hospital Displays

The focus of this assignment was the University of Utah Hospital Displays. Client Loop Screen builds and distributes the displays, and needed images of their work in use at the University of Utah Hospital, and at the clinic in Sugarhouse.

Obviously, part of the directive included not showing recognizable patients for privacy reasons. We also wanted to show the client’s displays in the best light possible. We made the screens the primary focus of the images, or the part of the image that draws the eye first.

University of Utah Hospital Displays

To further our photographic goals, and to have as little impact on the University of Utah Hospital normal business, we shot this on a Saturday. We requested and received permission from the University of Utah, so all work was done with the knowledge and permission of the University. We perused permission and releases from all people in the images.

Because the website is still being build, we did not have exact lists of images needed. We shout a variety of images for the client Loop Screen. We shot the images in both horizontal and vertical orientations, for a variety of uses. Screens- the focus of all this!- are shot tight and wide, to emphasize both the product itself and the environments in which they are used.

If you need images of your project, product or work-site, please let us know. We can shoot the images, or manage the whole project. From hiring models to securing permission, this is what we do. We want to make getting the images you need for your next project the easiest part of that project for you. Let us know what you need, what you want and what you wish you had. We will make it a reality of you. Contact us today to begin a review of your project.

Designer Kitchen

Designer Kitchen

Kirby-Kelly Studio creates beautiful and simple interiors for modern living. Here they called us for imagery of a Designer Kitchen they just installed. When I get a call from them, I am always excited, because the spaces are always fun.

Here we were most concerned with the kitchen. We wanted to show the space in an artistic way, without invading the design with photo tricks.

Part of our brief in shooting this Designer Kitchen was to shoot a natural light looking image. While this is lit, we stove to keep a natural looking- non-flash- picture. We would normally pull the windows a bit more than in these images. Here the client wanted a blown-out looks, so we let the windows go a bit more hot than we normally would.

Twilight Exterior- The Grand Assisted Living Center

Assisted Living Center Photography

We perform a lot of Assisted Living Center Photography, and this is one of our most recent examples of what we do for Utah’s Senior Living Community Centers. The Grand Assisted Living Center is a brand-new, luxurious assisted care facility in Holladay Utah.

Our goal here was to show the luxury and openness of the facility. We needed to shoot the main common areas for use in brochures and on the website. For future use, we needed to shoot the whole property, including every single residence room. This resulted in a final delivery of over 200 images.

This shoot took two days for this Assisted Living Center Photography shoot. A third day (well, a morning!) was used to shoot twilight exteriors.

Assisted Living Center Photography

When we do our Senior Living Community photography, we recognize the limitations we need to work within. We are invading peoples homes; people who may not like disturbances. We need to be as minimally invasive as possible. Our crew take care with our interactions, and work slowly and methodically so as to disturb as little as possible. We will work with you to shoot at off-time hours. We can shoot around meal times, so as to affect the normal course of business as little as possible. Ultimately, you let us know what YOU need, and we will make it happen.

Assisted Living Facility

Assisted Living Facility

Harmony Hills is a fast growing Assisted Living Facility company in Utah and Idaho. We have done all their photography work for their facilities in Utah and we were just called in to photograph their newest location in Boise Idaho. We have found that photography for an Assisted Living Facility is a bit challenging, but something we are becoming quite adept at.

When we approach a photography project in an Assisted Living Facility, the first thing we want to do is show the space. We want to show a clean, very nice, bright, happy, warm, inviting, compassionate, sense of community. Most times the facilities are open, so we must work around residents and their schedules. Our number one priority is not to impact the people living there. We want to show all the amenities and options for the residents. We will including dining facilities, recreation areas, indoor and outdoor living spaces, and then anything that makes that particular facility unique. In this case, a special ice cream bar for the residents made this Senior Living Center unique, and we focused on that amenity.

Units within your Assisted Living Facility

We go in depth into the actual units at the property- after all, seeing where someone will actually live is probably one of the most important thing to see for people shopping facilities, and comparing your property to others. This is where you need to stand out. Typically, we will shoot each different class of accommodations so you can show all you have to offer. If you have models, we will shoot them. Otherwise we can stage an empty room for you. We do not recommend showing empty facilities. Let us know your needs, we can make it happen for you!

Though not the focus of this specific shoot, we can also zero in on your friendly and caring staff. If you want lifestyle images of your people interacting in a caring and nurturing way with the residents, we are happy to shoot that.

As with all of our projects, our objective here was to highlight this facilities unique amenities. You need to stand apart to bring in clients, and our photography does that for you. Quality photography shows your seriousness about your role. You just need to call us up and turn us loose- we can handle the whole project for you!

Diamonds Direct

Diamonds Direct Store

This company is new to the Salt Lake Valley, and needed images of their new store and design. Images will be used in social media and in print advertising. We needed to get crisp interiors with no customers or employees in the images. We had to do this during working hours, working around customers and employees at work.

Images were created using flash and ambient exposures. We were on site approximately two hours and delivered 15 images, including a few exteriors and aerials showing Diamonds Direct in relationship to the local mall

Axis Architects Architecture Photography

Axis Architects

Axis Architects builds small, unique multi-family medium density home sites, and needed high quality Architecture Photography. They wanted their images fast. They have a more high-end, modern appearance, and wanted to show off their unique style. We actually shot a few images for them on spec, and they liked our work enough to hire us for the full shoot.

The object here was to highlight the uniqueness of the architects vision. We needed to show off the Architecture with great Photography. So much of this build just shines, and our goal was to really show what makes these townhomes shine!
