Lifestyle / Image Photography

You might think that Lifestyle Photography is something you can easily capture with a smartphone or a combination of electronics that piggyback on a convenient camera, and maybe you are right. But really good image photography is more than taking a few candid shots of kids smiling and posting them on Insta. Good lifestyle photography is about capturing images that tell a story. A personality. A relationship. A feeling. We will take the time to listen to your story and create a way to tell it in a visually-compelling style.

What Is Lifestyle Photography?

Lifestyle Photography has been around for as long as there have been cameras. A specialty offshoot of Photojournalism, this type of image making shows people at work (or play!) and is used to create an “image” around your brand. Image photography captures models or locations in a posed and “perfect” presentation, ready for inclusion in marketing or promotional materials. These images are used to reinforce or expand on your existing story, and create a lifestyle that your potential users aspire to.

We can create a mood in our visuals by create an environment for those scenes to unfold into. Close-ups of special details tell a much bigger story. Our background in narrative film making helps us craft each image into that special story you want to tell… the image you want to project.

How We Can Help

Lifestyle Photography is great for creating and [projecting an image you want to portray to your clients and customers. You can show them what you can do for them, and where you can take them. Imagination is the limit here!

The downside?

There is one major problem with good Image Photography- it takes time. Setting up the shots may take an hour or more to get all the components working well together. Great sunset images can only be taken once a day- and if you need a lot of twilight images, it may take many days to accomplish that. Once shot, we can review the images together and see if there are any problems… and reshoot as necessary. The bottom line is this is not a quick and fast project.
